About Britannia Productions

Professional Video Production Serving Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia!

Mark Greenlees of Britannia Productions, a native Englishman, first became hooked on the art of videography while working as a SCUBA diving instructor in Hawai'i.

After certifying his students, he would once again, take them below the waves to capture their first certified dive on “film”. Mark's videography soon developed into a passion where his work and pastime activities became one. After starting his first video business, H2O Video, in the early nineties, Mark continued to develop his craft throughout the Islands, both above and below the waves.

Being timid is not a good trait for a videographer,” says Mark, “there have been times when the soles of my shoes and tripod have started to melt whilst filming the lava flows of Kilauea (an active volcano on the Big Island of Hawai'i). You do what you must to get that all-important shot.”

Mark, fascinated with the raw beauty of our world, tends to habitually see "his world" as if through the lens of a camera. Being a people person, people-watching is one of his favorite things to do. "I find people fascinating and imagine the many untold stories they must have.” Capturing emotions in motion brought a whole new and exciting challenge to Mark. Since 1991, he has had the good fortune to work on a variety of exciting projects for the private sector and various TV networks including, The Discovery Health Channel, Oprah, The History Channel, A&E, and The Food Network. His career has brought him in contact with people from all walks of life around the world, including many Hollywood celebrities and political leaders.

After seventeen years in the business, Mark still finds great joy in his work. When asked about his craft, he will simply answer, "I'm in my element, and feel most creative and alive when I'm interacting with life around me.”

Mark and his family now live in Prince Frederick, Maryland, a small town on the Chesapeake Bay.
